Separate a purchase question from a care decision
Healthcare-product sales conversations can include both ordinary purchase information and sensitive personal questions. The operating rule should be clear before launch: approved catalog and administrative information may stay in the sales workflow; clinical judgment belongs with qualified people.
Crypture does not diagnose, prescribe, determine clinical eligibility or recommend treatment. This guide describes routing and workflow design. It is not a clinical protocol, a legal opinion or a substitute for review by the professionals responsible for the deployment.
Use a boundary table your staff can explain
An illustrative product question is “What pack sizes are listed?” The relevant source is the approved catalog. An administrative question is “How do I request a consultation?” The relevant source is the organization’s reviewed intake process. A personal question such as “Is this appropriate with my medication?” needs an appropriate qualified professional.
The distinction depends on the actual question, not just the product category. A conversation can start with a delivery inquiry and move into clinical territory. The agent should recognize the change in responsibility rather than continue the same sales answer.
Give the handoff a real destination
“Ask a professional” can leave the customer stranded if no next step is available. Identify the staff role, contact route, permitted information and expected operational response. Confirm whether the configured deployment can assign the request or can only explain how the person should contact the team.
Do not promise that a clinician has received a message unless that transmission actually succeeded. Do not imply a clinical response time or emergency coverage that the organization has not established. Urgent concerns follow the organization’s approved instructions and qualified staff protocol; a sales AI must not invent triage advice.
Pause selling while the sensitive question is unresolved
When a person asks for clinical guidance or staff assistance, the sales sequence should follow the configured pause and ownership rules. Repeated purchase prompts while the customer waits for a sensitive answer can undermine trust.
Specify who may return a conversation to the sales workflow and what information is needed to do so. A staff reply does not automatically authorize a new campaign, a new use of data or a different channel. Contact permissions, clinical responsibility and data-handling agreements are separate parts of the operating scope.
A fictional GLP-1 program inquiry
A person asks how to request a consultation and what administrative steps the program lists. The sales workflow may explain the reviewed process and supported scheduling route. If the person asks whether they qualify, what dosage they should use or whether a particular treatment will work, the request goes to qualified clinical staff.
The conversation must not promise a prescription, eligibility or a treatment outcome. The calling and messaging purpose also needs provider and deployment review. This example does not establish that prescription promotion is permitted on every channel or that any particular program is supported without scoping.
Test the branch from end to end
Create fictional tests for a catalog question, a program-price question, a suitability question, a request for a person, unavailable staff routing, an opt-out and an urgent concern. Check the actual next action, not only whether the wording sounded careful.
Confirm what data moves into each system, who can access it and what recording or transcript settings apply. Marketing forms and public demos are not patient channels. Review the security and healthcare notices and the actual agreements before connecting protected information.
Measure the handoff without rewarding unnecessary collection
A useful review asks whether the correct owner received the unresolved question, whether automated selling paused and whether staff understood what remained to be done. Do not reward the workflow for collecting extra sensitive detail that the administrative task did not need.
Record unresolved exceptions and system failures alongside completed handoffs. Publish only appropriate, permissioned evidence without patient-identifiable information. When reviewing a Crypture deployment, bring the organization’s own approved boundaries and ask to see the complete sales-to-staff branch demonstrated.
